Hulu Shows Missing on Disney+? Don’t Buy Another Subscription Yet

Before subscribing for a second Ring camera, count the devices you want recorded and the locations where they are installed. Then compare your existing plan with Ring's current US options. One account does not automatically mean every property is covered by one subscription.

A second camera may call for a different plan, but the decision depends on coverage, billing, and the features you actually need.Start by opening the existing subscription record. A trial, a legacy arrangement, and a current paid plan can look similar when the app is simply showing working video.

Make a short inventory with device name, model, location, and whether you want stored video. Include a garage camera or indoor camera that you may have forgotten is attached to a separate subscription.

Next, identify who owns the account and who only has shared access. Being able to view a camera does not establish who manages its subscription. Confirm the billing account before adding another payment.

If the second camera is at another home, keep that location separate in the comparison. Ring's public plan descriptions attach multi-device coverage to a single location. Ask about your specific arrangement if the app groups devices differently from what you expected.

Ring's US page checked October 9, 2026, lists Solo for one device at $4.99 monthly or $49.99 annually, Multi for devices at one location at $9.99 monthly or $99.99 annually, and Pro at $19.99 monthly or $199.99 annually, plus applicable taxes. Pro includes additional features and professional monitoring subject to requirements.

Treat those as dated public prices. Your checkout, existing subscription, eligible hardware, and billing channel still need review. Do not copy a price in pounds from an international discussion into a US comparison.

For recording needs, first compare Solo and Multi. Consider Pro when you have a specific need for its additional features and compatible equipment. The most expensive tier is not automatically necessary because you added another camera.

The following arithmetic uses the listed Solo and Multi prices above. It excludes taxes, hardware, add-ons, and any account-specific adjustments. Separate Solo subscriptions are shown as a comparison, not an instruction to buy them.

Cameras needing coverage at one location Separate Solo monthly total Separate Solo annual total Multi monthly or annual
1 $4.99 $49.99 $9.99 or $99.99
2 $9.98 $99.98 $9.99 or $99.99
3 $14.97 $149.97 $9.99 or $99.99

For two cameras, the listed price difference is only one cent. That makes included features, management, and future devices more relevant than a simplistic claim that a multi-device plan is always cheaper. For three cameras, the arithmetic changes.

Annual billing also needs a separate decision. Paying the annual price upfront can cost less than twelve monthly payments, but compare your likely period of use and current cancellation terms. Do not treat an annual plan as if it were a monthly plan that can always be refunded proportionally.

Write a sentence for each camera: "I want to review package deliveries," or "I want continuous footage from this compatible camera." Then check whether the intended plan, model, settings, and any add-on satisfy that sentence.

Event recording and continuous recording are different features. Ring currently lists continuous recording as an add-on for eligible cameras. Do not assume that a plan with stored events automatically records every second of every camera.

Also check retention and export. If you need to preserve a particular event, understand how to download it before it expires or before changing a subscription. A long advertised history window is not a reason to leave important footage unpreserved indefinitely.

Find the renewal date, payment interval, billing company, and devices currently covered. Save those details. If you are changing plans, read the checkout explanation for the new charge, any credit, and when coverage changes. Ask support if the treatment of your remaining paid period is unclear.

Avoid canceling everything simply to start again. That can introduce a recording gap or remove access you expected to keep. Plan the transition around the current account's instructions and preserve any important recordings first.

After adding the camera, confirm the location and subscription assignment. Test a normal event and verify that it appears in the expected history. A live picture alone does not prove that the new device has the recording coverage you purchased.

A doorbell recording subscription and professionally monitored alarm service are different purchases. If you need monitoring, review equipment compatibility, enrollment, location requirements, and the service conditions before selecting a plan for that purpose.

This article does not include a promised home-insurance discount in the savings calculation. Any insurer benefit would need confirmation from your insurer for your specific equipment and monitoring arrangement. Until that is confirmed, use zero discount in your budget.

The useful comparison is the amount you will definitely pay for the features you have verified. An uncertain discount should not make an otherwise unsuitable subscription appear cheaper.

Keep a private record of each device, its location, and the plan covering it. Review that record when you replace a camera, move home, or add equipment at another property. A shared login is not a substitute for checking coverage.

On the next statement, confirm that the expected old subscription ended or changed and that the new charge matches the confirmation. If both remain unexpectedly active, contact the billing provider with the two subscription references and transition date.

Does Multi cover cameras at two different homes?

Ring describes Multi as covering devices at one location. Check the terms for each property rather than assuming one account extends the coverage across addresses. Keep separate locations visible when comparing the total cost.

Is Multi cheaper as soon as I add a second camera?

At the public prices checked, two Solo plans total $9.98 monthly and Multi is $9.99. The annual totals are similarly one cent apart. Compare the features and future needs as well as the arithmetic.

Does paying annually guarantee a refund if I change my mind?

Do not assume it does. Read the current cancellation and plan-change terms for your billing channel before paying. Save the confirmation explaining any credit or adjustment, and ask support about anything that is not clear.
